Bellabox June Review

Bellabox is an Australia beauty sample subscription box which for the price of $15 a month subscribers receive at least 5 samples (and sometimes full sized products).

Usually I get my box in a very timely manner however my June box did not arrive until the second week of July. This was because of the courier service that Bellabox was trying out with some customers. I guess that I can't hold that against Bellabox but it was a little bit annoying, especially since I live in the same city as the Bellabox warehouse.

Now to have a look at what goodies I received for June.

GARNIER BB Cream Normal Skin (RRP $13.95 AUD for 40ml) Full sized product

I have used the Garnier sensitive BB cream and have liked it so I welcome receiving another one BB cream from them. I am glad that my product came in 'medium' which is the prefect colour for my skin. I had been planning to purchase the one designed for oily skin which I think might suit my skin better, but I guess I will just continue to add some powder. It is great that this BB cream now includes SPF, because many BB creams do not and I would have to apply sunscreen underneath.

OLAY Regenerist Revitalising Hydration Cream (RRP $34.99 AUD for 50g) Sample size 14g
I am 26 so I have not really been using anti ageing creams. This is a product that my mother uses so I am trying to decide if I should pass this on to her, or if I should just use it as a day time cream for myself.

HERBAL ESSENCES Naked Shine Shampoo and Conditioner (RRP $6.99 AUD each for 300ml) Sample size 40ml each
These samples are of a new range of hair care that are paraben and colourant free. I prefer to use shampoo and conditioners that do have nasty chemicals in them, so these are right up my alley. They smell amazing and I am looking forward to giving them a try.

BURT'S BEES Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme (RRP $19.95 AUD for 57g) Sample size 7g
I have a toddler and have been caring for my father so I have to wash my hands all the time, and my hands have been getting very dry so I was happy to get a hand cream. I really enjoy Burt's Bee product and after trying this for a couple of days I am very happy with this cream. I like the almond scent and the fact that it is not too greasey on your hands afterwards.

ST TROPEZ Self Tan Bronzing Face Lotion (RRP $49.95 AUD for 50ml) Sample size 5ml
I don't use tanners because I have olive skin so I will not be using this sample. I will be passing this on to a friend instead.

NUTRIMETICS Nutri-Rich Instant Radiance Beauty Balm (RRP $50 AUD for 50ml) Sample size 2ml.
When I first saw this sachet sample I thought it was another BB cream because BB means Beauty Balm. However the directions on the back make it sound like a treatment cream. I am a bit confused and will need to check out exactly what this cream is designed for.

INSTYLE AUSTRALIA Magazine (RRP $9.95 AUD)
I don't normally buy magazines (unless they have freebies with them) but I do enjoy reading them. I was actually in hospital last week so I was grateful that I had something to read.

Overall I am happy with my June Bellabox, I was not amazed by the samples inside but with the exception of the tanning lotion I will be using everything in this box. I think for $15 (including postage) that Bellabox is great value, especially with the full size BB cream.

Disclaimer: I brought this box with my own money. My thoughts are my own and not influenced by anyone else.

June Lust Have It Women Box Review 2014

Lust Have It is an Australian beauty sample subscription service, which for the price of $19.95 you will receive 5-6 samples a month (and ocassionaly a full size product). I have been subscribing on and off with their Women’s Box for about a year now.

This month I did not get my box until July. Delays with shipping seem to be quite common with Lust Have It. Each month Lust Have It package their 'boxes' in make up bags which are somewhat useful (they use to come in boxes).

TEEEZ TRENDY COSMETICS Head Over Heel Nail Lacquer (RRP $18 AUD 7ml) Full sized product
This nail polish from Teeez is the product that I am most excited about this month. My nail lacquer came in the shade ‘Carmine Craze’ a maroon colour. I have a few Teeez products already and I love them so I am sure this nail polish will be good as well. I just love the effort that Teeez puts into the packaging, since I think they look awesome.

JOHN PULUKETT Glyco Peel (RRP $29.95 AUD 15ml) Full sized product
This is a full sized product of a night time exfoliator. I was a bit wary of using this product since my skin is a bit sensitive at times; however this says that it is suitable for all skin types. There is special instructions for people with sensitive skin (to wash off after 1 minute) so I will probably give this a try and see how it goes.

LA ROCHE POSAY Effaclar Duo (RRP $27.95 AUD 40ml) Sample size 3ml
This cream is supposed to reduce imperfections and unclog pores in 30 days. This is only a tiny sample so my hopes are not too high that I will begin to see a difference by using only 3ml. I have used La Roche Posay samples before and have really liked them, so maybe I will be impressed by this too.

ORLY Nail file (RRP $1.95 AUD per set) and toe separators (RRP $4.95 AUD) Full sized products
I’m a bit indifferent to getting these. I think I will probably use the nail files but the toe separators will most likely not be used.

NUXE Crème Nivanesque and Crème Nivanesque Eye Contour 2ml sample sizes
I haven’t tried any Nuxe products before so I am interested in trying these sachets out. The only problem is that they are very small samples so I don’t know if I will be able to tell if it is worth buying the full size products. The eye contour is supposed to reduce dark circles around the eye, so I am curious if it will do anything for my eyes.

HELLO FRESH $30 Voucher
Hello Fresh is a service that sends you ingredients and recipes to make meals at home.  I have received one of these vouchers before and considered using it, except I lost my voucher. The only problem is that even with $30 voucher you need to spend around $30 to trial the service.  I don’t mind getting this voucher but I think some people might not be that impressed with getting a food voucher in a beauty box.

Honestly I feel a little indifferent to the June Lust Have It box. It is okay but nothing really excites me this month, the only thing I kind of liked was the nail polish and glycol peel. I guess the value of the box is worth the $19.95 and I will most likely use most of the items.

Disclaimer: I brought this box with my own money, my opinions are my own.

My Woolworths Clearance Haul

Supermarkets are a great place to buy make up and beauty products cheaply. Over the years I have received some great bargains on products when the supermarkets are clearing stock or changing displays. My best bargain has been a Covergirl mascara for $1 AUD.

Last week I was shopping in Woolworths and when I went into the beauty section there were some item on clearance so I grabbed a few.

I brought a; Covergirl Smoky Shadowblast in Bronze Fire for $3.66 AUD (RRP $9), a ModelCo Lip Lights in Coral for $3.99 AUD (RRP $19.95), a ModelCo Shine Ultra Lip Gloss in Tangerine for $2.99 AUD (RRP $20) and a Rimmel Apocalips in 303 Apocaliptic for $6.40 AUD (RRP $15.95).

I am really happy that for $17 I brought almost $65 worth of goodies. I look forward to trying these products out and letting you guys know my thoughts about them.

Introducing myself

Hi everyone,

I'm Krystle and for the last year I have been obsessed with make up and skin care, so I have decided to start up my own beauty blog. At the moment I have been writing on the micro-blogging site Bubblews but I don't really feel like my beauty posts are fully appreciated there.

I have to admit that I am not an expert and there are probably a lot of things that I need to learn, but I thought that I could share my thoughts on products with you all. I am looking forward to hearing everyone else thoughts and new product suggestions too.

I love lip products the most so expect to see a lot of reviews on lipsticks and lip balms in the future. I am a 26 year old stay at home mother of one cheeky 3 and a half year old girl, so most of the beauty products that I will be trying will from the budget or mid priced ranges. I think this blog will also be a great excuse for me to buy new make up too ;)
